We have traveled to Iran twice: In 2002 with a group of I3 and this month (October 2005) by ourselves. On both occasions we used an Iranian tour company: Abgin Cultural Tours of Persia (established late 90's)

The guides on both trips were highly professional and extremely knowledgeable about Iranian history and culture. The service on both trips was outstanding:

- Visa authorization numbers were organized within a few days of receiving our details.
- When traveling with the group, our guide organized restaurants to cook traditional Iranian meals.
- This month when we arrived in Tehran minus our baggage our guide packed a bag of his family's clothes for us in case our luggage didn't arrive next day.
- We were extremely grateful for the very safe drivers the company used.
- On our most recent tailor-made tour our guide took us to stunning sites that must be some of Iran's best-kept secrets. The night before we left he took us to a 40 Daff ensemble concert that blew us away.

We are now planning our third trip and will use the same company. We can't recommend them highly enough to other LP readers looking for a good Iranian tour company.
